Beyond Business Travel Reflects on 10 Years at SPB

Beyond Business Travel, the UK and Ireland’s leading corporate travel management company, has been a member of the SPB family for 10 years!

We caught up with Managing Director, Shauna Burns who told us all about how the team at VenYou was able to assist the company throughout the last decade and what, in her opinion, is the best part about being an SPB tenant.

1). When did you become a tenant of the Scottish Provident Building?

We moved into the Scottish Provident Building in March 2011.

2). What attracted you to the Scottish Provident Building?

The building’s prime location in the centre of Belfast was initially a big attraction. It was also important for us to have offices in a building where we could grow as a business, with the flexibility of different room sizes and meeting rooms. Lastly, the building needed to look and feel professional for client visits, which the Scottish Provident Building does with its unique finish.

3). As a company, what’s the best part about being tenants of the Scottish Provident Building?

The best part of being a tenant at the Scottish Provident Building in addition to the spacious offices, well designed conference suites and uninterrupted views of the city, would be the standard and high level of service provided by Donna, Jonny and the entire VenYou team. Whether it is the warm and friendly welcome at the front desk, or the cleaning and maintenance of the offices, the high level and standard of service is continuous throughout.

4). Over the years, how has the team at VenYou been able to help your business?

Over the years we have come to think of the VenYou team as an extension of our team. Whenever we invite visitors to the building, the team at VenYou always deliver.  Whether it is setting up a conference room last minute or hosting an event on the terrace, everything is taken care of leaving us to concentrate on our business.

5). Can you describe your experience as a tenant of the Scottish Provident Building in three words?

Welcoming – Professional – Flexible.

6). What would you say to another business owner who was considering becoming a tenant of the Scottish Provident Building?

If you want offices in the city centre with a great location, excellent facilities and the opportunity to network with other likeminded businesses in one location, the Scottish Provident Building is for you.

7). Do you have any exciting business plans for the future that you would like to tell us about?

2020 was a year of challenges for every business and no more so than our own in the business travel sector. With our travel technology, we can respond quickly and we have helped our business clients to travel in 2020/21 when and where they could. More recently, we have been working on a consultative basis with clients assisting them in interpreting the changing travel restrictions and Brexit rules, reviewing travel policies and automating manual travel processes.

Our future plans are to continue with our strategy of helping corporates to digitally transform their travel. We have the best technology to allow clients to improve their end–to–end experience of travel with one easy–to–use online platform for all their bookings, policy control, traveller tracking, expenses and smart data technology. Clients find the technology invaluable as it removes outdated processes, increases automation and provides visibility.

We also opened an office in Dublin in 2019 and we will continue to expand our market share in Ireland as a leading travel technology company.
