The People Behind venYou - Meet Dean!

Next up in our ‘People Behind venYou’ feature is our housekeeper, Dean Hinds, who joined venYou back in 2018 and has since become an integral member of the team when it comes to maintaining our five-star service.

Q1. Job title: Housekeeper.
 
Q2. How long have you worked for VenYou/SPB? 
Four years.
 
Q3. What led you to this career?
I was on the search for a new career path, and venYou offered the ideal opportunity to work in a new and interesting sector.
 
Q4. What does a typical day involve?
A typical day involves keeping venYou’s current three buildings up to a high standard of cleanliness and ensuring all the needs of our clients are provided for.
 
Q5. What’s your favourite part of your job? 
My favourite part of the job is getting to know all the different clients across venYou’s buildings; Scottish Provident, Ascot House and Northern Court. They are all so friendly and welcoming. I also thoroughly enjoy working with my fellow housekeepers, as together we’re a great team.
 
Q6. What has been one of your biggest achievements since joining the team at venYou?
I am proud of how much I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and entered a new line of work which I was previously unfamiliar with.
 
Q7. Can you describe the venYou environment in three words?
Fun, helpful and exciting.
 
Q8. In your opinion, what makes venYou stand out from its competitors? 
The high standards of the offices, the expert service, the history of venYou’s buildings and the dedication of the team is what makes venYou stand out from its competitors.
 
Q9. How do you like to relax outside of work? 
I enjoy socialising with my friends, gaming and spending time with my family.
